Sterling Silver【スターリングシルバー】とは

「スターリングシルバー」は純銀を92.5％のシルバーの事で、”S925”　”SV925”や”SILVER925”などと表記されており、【シルバー925】とも呼ばれます。

銀は純度100%のままだと、アクセサリーや製品として使用するのには柔らかすぎる為、割金（他の金属）を混ぜて適度な硬度に精製します。

純銀92.5%とその他の金属を7.5%合わせたものです。

一般的に銀はアレルギーを起こしにくい金属として知られていますが、割金に使用する金属によってはアレルギー反応がおこる場合があります。
